Bleus, Cahier #13, published in 1994 is a portfolio of selected photographs from Gilden's project documenting the traditional working world in the North of France, remnant of an historical past swept away by modern technology.

High performance machines are gradually replacing men, the bell tolls the end of the era of the worker-hero. In the future, the choice is to adjust to the new technology or be excluded from the working world.
